The Art of Confidence Leadership Academy
I was a three-year member of the St Jude Leadership Society, and a two-year peer mentor. The experience participating in this program was life-changing for me. I gained incomparable knowledge, skills, and experience that have equipped me in all aspects of my life. Most importantly, my self-confidence grew leaps and bounds.
I have worked for many months to design, organize, plan, and now launch a similar, more accessible program right here in East Tennessee. It is my goal to equip the youth in this area with experiences and help them develop leadership skills and characteristics, just like I was able to do.
Program Overview
The program is designed for youth ages 12-18 and will consist of 8 meetings (4 in person and 4 via Zoom).
Each participant will be assigned to a specific working group and partnered with a mentor to guide them through the program.
The program will culminate in a large-scale fundraising production event; fully organized, planned, and executed by the participants.
Each meeting will consist of a group discussion around an attribute of leadership (provided before the meeting), and event planning.
Each participant is responsible for engaging with and checking in with their mentor between meetings to ensure deliverables are met and leadership skills are enhanced.
